The Many Celebrations of May
Sr. Mary
Marvelous May! May is one of my three favorite months! The first is November because of my birthday, Thanksgiving and Presentation Day; December because I LOVE Advent and the anticipation of Christ's birth in new and challenging ways; and May because it is FILLED with many wonderful reasons to celebrate life. Think about it: flowers are beginning to bloom, we plant our vegetable gardens, a new batch of honey bees in the bee boxes, we celebrate our mothers, the graduation season kicks off and another of my favorites, BBQ season gets into full gear!
Liturgically we celebrate Our Blessed Mother Mary with May Crownings, May 1st we celebrate the gift of vocation of Religious Brothers, May 10th we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus, May 20th Pentecost Sunday, May 27th Most Holy Trinity, May 31st Visitation of Mary.
How will you celebrate this May? Below are some links to help unite you in some of these great celebrations.
